One Year Ago…

As I pondered over my blessings from June, my mind wandered to this time last year. Looking at the calendar, I realized that Sunday marks one year since I have been blogging! I remember that sweet moment when I clicked post for the first time. After those weeks, filled with long hours staring at a blank screen praying for words, I never would have imagined that I would continue to press post.

Now that a year has passed, all I can do is point to God. On my own, I would have no words and no cause that excites me. He is inspiration and my reason to rejoice. Anything I write is by His grace alone. My prayer is that my imperfect words encourage you to look to our perfect God.

I am continually thankful that He blessed me with a way to share bits of my heart.

long hours in the Word
My mornings in God’s Word have brought me indescribable refreshment. Having unhindered hours to dwell on scripture is my highlight from every day.

coffee smoothies
A few weeks ago, a friend of mine introduced me to coffee smoothies. Now, every morning, I am rarely found without a frosted coffee in hand.

breathtaking sunsets

Though I only saw the sun set over the lake once in June, that one sunset was stunning. I thought of how infinite God is as the colorful strokes broadened across the sky and the waves overtook the shore. The few photos I captured could never do it justice.

the blessing of work

Yes, I was hired! I can hardly believe that I have worked for nearly two months now. The job is not what I expected but I am discovering joy in my work. God is growing me, even in the simple job of wiping tables.
