April Highlights

I have had so many things on my heart to share the past couple weeks, but I have not had time to post. I hope to post more in the coming weeks on what God has been showing me. Today, I thought I would share my monthly highlights. Here are a few of the blessings in my life this month…

Galatians

I just finished my study of Galatians that I started a month or two ago. Galatians covers how we are free from the law, how we are saved through Christ alone, and how we should live now that we are free. Through my study, I have been encouraged by the fact that I can walk in freedom. I have also been convicted me of my need to love and serve others. Galatians 5:13 ” For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.”

The Outdoors

All seasons are beautiful in their own way, but to me, spring is the exclamation point. The burst of life and growth just tells of the creativity of our God. I have enjoyed seeing the weeping cherry tree outside my window blossom, watching a robin in my tree protect her nest (she lets me know she is there when I go near my window…I have to leave my curtain in the front of my window so that she does not see me :)), and going on long runs.

A possible job…

Last summer, I knew I wanted a summer job in 2020. Early fall, I was excited to apply to a local outdoor diner. I have been anticipating a call from them, but I wondered if they would open because of the coronavirus. A few weeks ago, my parents suggested that I call to ask. On the day I planned to call, I was stunned to see that I had a voicemail from the the job I applied to! On Saturday I had an interview and will know if I got the job in the next couple weeks! I am anxious, but I am looking at it as a test in patience. 🙂

What are some highlights from your month? I would love to hear in the comments below!
